COVID-19

We are committed to keeping our patients, staff, and our families safe from the spread of the corona virus. In light of the current public health crisis, our practice has taken steps to reduce the risk of spreading the virus within the office, including:

  • The office is professionally cleaned every night, and all of the common or shared surfaces (e.g., desktops, chairs, etc.) are disinfected after each use.
  • Office seating in the waiting room is arranged to maintain safe distancing.
  • Restroom soap dispensers are maintained and everyone is encouraged to wash their hands. Specific breaks will be built into the testing (approximately every two hours to wash hands).
  • Hand sanitizers are available in the testing rooms and waiting room.
  • All testing materials (e.g., booklets, pens, pencils, stimulus material, etc.) are also disinfected after each use.
  • All of our staff are screened on a daily basis using a thermometer to ensure that they are not running a temperature.
  • All of our staff will wear masks and, to the extent possible, maintain an appropriate distance from patients.
  • All patients must wear masks in the office.
  • Patients will be provided with masks and gloves if needed. Face shields are also available.
  • Patients will be scheduled on a staggered basis. As a result, it is unlikely that you will encounter any other patients in the waiting room.
  • We will take your temperature at the beginning of the day and again at the end of the day.
  • We will also ask you to complete a questionnaire regarding common COVID-19 symptoms prior to entering the office.
  • Plastic shields will be available and used to separate you and the examiner whenever possible.
  • The doctor will notify you if he/she or one of the staff develop symptoms of COVID-19 within 14 days of your appointment.
  • Due to the special circumstances surrounding neuropsychological testing, you will be seated across from the desk from the examiner (approximately two to three feet apart) for the entire day.

We are happy to address any questions or concerns related to our COVID-19 regulations.
